Jaipur is a city that is famous around the world for its powerful and majestic ruler. It is a city beautifully lined with a number of forts and palaces all over. The charisma of its ruler is beautifully reflected in its kingly forts, palaces, temples and museums. Towards the bottom of this hill, amber fort is located. It is aid that the two forts together form a part of one single complex and are well connected with watched over passages. Within the Jaigarh fort, there are a number of beautiful attractions like palaces, cannon foundry, granary, temple and a single tall standing tower. During the previous era, the fort was the center of armaments production and therefore one of the best highlight in the fort is the Jaivan cannon. It is said that the cannon is the largest of its kind in the world. Since the fort was built in order to provide strength to Amer’s defence. In order to further increase this strength, there is a system of underground water in the fort that provided ample water supply during the time of war. Also, it is said that beneath the tank, the kings and the queens stored their precious items of gold and silver.


The point of entry of the fort is Dungra Darwaza. Once you enter the fort the next attraction is the Shubhat Niwas that was the common hall for meeting of the warriors. Within the fort, there is a museum that exhibits a broad variety of arms that were used by the Rajput rulers and some of the photographs of the rulers.

The Other attractions of this Jaigarh Fort are – Diya Burj, Vijay Garh, Museums, Armory, and The Lakshmi Vilas Palace. The most suitable time for visiting this fort during your India Tours is between the months of October and March.
